Space is Big: Understanding the Scale of the Universe

How far away is the moon? How much bigger is Jupiter compared to the Earth? In this workshop, we will explore the sizes and distances in our Solar system using scale models. Participants will construct an inner planets "planet stack" to take home, and build a large-scale planet walk through our solar system.

This program is designed for ages 9 -14, but all ages are welcome to join. With plenty of activities and interactive discussions, this workshop is perfect for curious minds eager to learn how humans have studied our universe for over 400 years.
