Reach for the Stars: Then, Now, & Forever
On Wednesday, January 28, the day of the 40th anniversary, the Discovery Center will host a special event to honor the life and legacy of the Teacher in Space Program, the SLS-151 crew, and Concord's own, Christa McAuliffe. This event includes an evening discussion panel in partnership with the Concord Monitor, and a presentation on some of the lessons planned for Christa’s shuttle mission by astronaut Ricky Arnold.
Schedule of Events:
4:30pm: Doors Open
5:00pm: Discovering Christa's Lost Lessons with Astronaut Ricky Arnold
5:30pm: Explore the Discovery Center- Guests will have the opportunity to engage with Christa's Lost Lessons and be the first to see the new Christa McAuliffe exhibit in the classic wing.
6:00-7:30pm: Concord Monitor hosts: Legacy of Challenger Panel
8:30pm: Doors Close
